Cooking Guide

  1. Slice up the pickles, and use a kitchen towel to remove any excess liquid.

  2. Grate the cheddar. In a pan, add a pinch of grated cheese, and cook on medium heat.

  3. Place 3 pickle slices on top.

  4. Top with broken up Doritos Flamin' Hot and then add more cheese on top.

  5. Once the cheese has browned on the bottom, turn over and do the other side. When the other side has browned, remove from the pan and leave to cool.

  6. Cut the buns in half and toast them.

  7. Peel and halve the red onion, then slice it. Divide the slices into two portions. Grill both sides of the onion slices alongside the patties.

  8. Prepare the burger sauce by mixing ketchup, mustard, and garlic powder in a bowl.

  9. Form 2 patties from the ground beef and place them on a contact grill or pan. Then flatten them out. Cook for 2 minutes more for medium, or 3 minutes for medium-well burgers.

  10. Spread the sauce on the buns, add lettuce, grilled onions, the patty, then guac and finally the crunchy pickle-cheese layer. Top with more Doritos (Optional)

  11. Finally, spread sauce on the top bun and close the burger.
